Week 6 - Can You Hear Me Now?

We have learned so much in this class and I want to do them all!  Time always seems to be a factor but the most exciting part of technology is with a quick online search you can find amazing presentations, blogs, wikis, and podcasts that are already created and ready to use or be viewed.  When I was teaching I used to download ready to use games for my class or powerpoint presentations already created by other teachers that I could show my class.  I thought this was the perfect teaching and learning environment.  I was so wrong!!!! My students would have been more engaged had I created a blog and blogged with my students.  The article that I did for my discussion this week was about a class that did a wiki writing assignment between high school and college students.  In my opinion that is the ultimate learning environment or learning community.  I would like to conduct a project just like that with students.  Unfortunately the factors that kept me and most teachers from doing amazing projects are time, large amounts of material to teach or most of the time just cover, and access to computers.  If I could wave a magic wand I would change the TEKS and allow creative teachers to really teach and every student would have access to a computer all day every day!
